Nin Castle – Founder of Goodone: Top 3 Good Fashion tips

July 11, 2011 12:00 pm

As many of you will know A Good Week played host to Good Fashion Perspectives on the evening of Thursday, June 24. In the lead up to the event we asked our fabulous posse of speakers to submit their top three Good fashion tips. However, one was missing. So here are the fashionably late Good fashion tips from Nin Castle, founder of Goodone.

Goodone is an independent fashion label that reflects contemporary London through conscious, modern design. Goodone believe that an intelligent approach to design should not only satisfy a hunger for new and constantly evolving concepts in style, but also solve other practical issues.

Since making their London Fashion Week debut in 2009 Goodone has collaborated with and sold to companies and international corporations including Topshop, Yoox, Puma and Tesco.

In 2010 Yasmin Sewell selected Goodone for her British Fashion Council sponsored mentorship programme. Furthermore, as a pioneer in the sustainable fashion sector, Nin is preparing to act as judge for the Innovation Awards 2011 for the Ethical Fashion Forum. Goodone has also enjoyed some amazing press exposure with The Observer, The Guardian, Marie Claire UK and USA, Elle, Glamour and many more.

1. Buy half the amount for double the amount. Nobody wants to hear this but I promise if you do you will love your wardrobe and the clothes you wear a great deal more.

2. Don’t throw Clothes away always take them to charity shops and or textile recycling banks.

3. Support designers you like, up and coming labels need your support to keep growing, for every 1 garment you buy on the high street try and buy one garment from an independent label.
